Aesthetics of Big Cities or how they inspire us.

Residents of big cities, whether you are inspired by the city’s skyline at sunset? The maze of streets doesn’t scare you ?. The reflections of skyscrapers in each another, as in the giant mirrors, abutting against the sky, mesmerizes you? Then the works of “City Series”  by James McNabb, sculptor from Philadelphia, could just delights you.

The lines of slender architectural ensembles take into  new forms, or get together in a circle,  become legs of a table. Using different species of trees the designer plays not only with the shape, but with colors for achieving contrast.  He calls his works “sketches with a bandsaw.” But his wood carving virtuosity is full of small details. He carves each object individually, then gathers them in their fantastic compositions.

And what could be more fun than to build  own cities? May be only one thing if we are beholders of this process.
