A game of shadows with soft light is favorite method of many artists and designers. This artistic play changes the space, and sometimes creates the effect of a different reality.

Designer Jordi Vilardell created the lamp Meridiano for the Spanish company Vibia, specializing in lighting equipment.

It was originally conceived as a lamp, seat and table for the garden or lawn in front of а house. But in the process of creating it it became clear that the subject is able to decorate any interior.

During the day it looks like a functional art-object as a table or a seat, and in the evening, the something interesting starts. Our facility begins to work as  a illuminator, creating a special atmosphere.

The steel structure of the frame from rods is connecting the top and the bottom, as well as meridians, tightening the poles.  The shadows of the lamp form a curved line, filling the space with changeable décor.
